Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
